Xsitepro Review: New Software Makes For It Possible For To Build Many Websites, Quickly

Tags: , , , , , , , ,

If you want to create a website for an existing business or for a new business you can either have it done by professional design firm or try to do it yourself with an online site building program or editing software on your computer. A new entrant into the field of website building software is XsitePro. Its manufacturers claim that it is the ideal program for those who wish to build many, easy-to-maintain content rich sites for online commerce. I tried it recently and here are my findings.

Before you decide to build a website by yourself, you should think whether this is a good idea for you. It may in fact be better to get your site designed professionally. It is usually well worth it. However, even after your site is designed you will have to maintain it and if you have no skills then this can be difficult or costly. So it may be useful for you or someone in your company to have the ability to make and edit websites.

Online site-builders, as offered by some hosting firms and some online package firms often produce sites that are not search engine friendly, and if you can avoid them it is better. The two leading web design software options are Dreamweaver and Frontpage. Dreamweaver produces sites with good html code and this is helpful in the task of search engine optimization, but it takes time to learn the program. I have been using Frontpage for many years and use it because that is what I am used to (though I know Dreamweaver is a bit better).

I tried Xsitepro because the online video demonstrating it was so compelling (you can watch the video at www.a1-optimization.com/websiteprovideo.htm . It is indeed quick to learn and I built a site of several pages in a few hours. XsitePro has been made with search engine optimization in mind and it produces web pages without adding any extraneous code that would be a hindrance to search engine optimization. It has built in instructions for search engine optimization and analyzes each page and gives you a checklist of things to do to improve the search engine friendliness of your pages. In addition, the software compiles a nice site map with text links to all the pages and a description of the pages under each link.

One feature that I really like is that it lets you add article pages to your site very easily. This is important if you want to build a content-rich site. Coupled with this, it has a built-in Adsense installation facility. You just have to insert your Adsense registration number and you can add Adsense code to your pages and format the adds without having to go online to fetch the code from your online account.

Another feature that is helpful is a built in pop-up window. You can add pop up windows that are not affected by pop up blockers, and you can time them so that they open when and where you want them.

One thing to remember, no program can make you a great designer. Xsite pro comes with more than 100 templates, but if you want graphics that are just right for you, then you may have to go to a professional. Recently I did just that, I hired a professional to make header and footer graphics and a three dimensional ebook cover and then I used Xsite pro to build the site. The result is at www.start-meditation-stop-smoking.com. I made a few mistakes and can do it better the next time but in general I was satisfied with the results.

Camcorders are very useful golf swing aids – if used together with suitable golf swing software, they are an unbeatable combination to improve your golf swing.

Different golf swing software differs in their capabilities. In general, they provide several tools to help you analyze your swing after you capture it with your camcorder. The best software to buy is the same one your instructor uses. Ask him to show you how to use the software, so that you can continue to analyze your own swing after his lessons end.

Using golf swing software on your own

learning to use golf swing software on your own is a bit difficult. It is best to start with a software which is cheap and simple. For beginners, another problem is that you may not know what is wrong with your swing.

However, these software can be useful for low-handicap amateurs. They have a good idea of correct golf swing mechanics, and can analyze their golf swing techniques to find out what is wrong. An experienced golfer can study his technique in depth to build a picture of what he is trying to achieve. The software helps him to see where he falls short of perfection.

Beginners and high-handicappers should spend their time and money on golf swing lessons instead of software.

Free substitute for golf swing software

not everyone can afford to buy golf swing software. On the other hand, some golfers buy them but find them too difficult to use. Here is a free substitute using the free editing software which comes with your camcorder, your computer and printer, and some tracing paper:

Play the video of your swing in slow motion.
Capture the still images of all the important points in your golf swing technique.
Open the still images in Microsoft Paint (comes free with your computer) and edit out the background. Just select the biggest brush and paint the entire background white. You do not need to do this step, but it makes your analysis easier later on.
Print out each image.
Choose one of these images as your baseline, and trace out the movement of your club from all the other images.
Super-impose the tracing on your baseline, and Voila! You have a simple-to-analyze picture of your golf swing.

Golf swing software is most useful in the hands of more experienced golfers. Used together with your camcorder, they are one of the most useful tools to improve your golf swing.

Photo editors allow you to create and modify bitmap-based graphics and photographic images. This includes tasks such as painting and drawing, color correction, photo enhancement, creating special effects, image conversion, as well as adding text and shapes to graphics. Your image editor should be flexible and intuitive because it will be your most powerful photo project tool. There are many programs available for beginners, to advanced photo editors. But unless they can perform all the tasks above to a certain degree of satisfaction, they should only be considered a companion to your main photo editing application.

Free Photo Editors

If you just starting out with photo editing or your thinking of, then I would suggest first testing out free or inexpensive photo editors to get familiar with the functions. This will also help determine if you will be further interested in other software. These programs are usually shareware or freeware and they’re generally not available in retail software stores. Although shareware and freeware is sometimes not as stable or widely used as retail software, it is often very full-featured and cheap if not free. There are a wide variety of free photo editors available on the internet and all you need to do is find the right one to match your requirements.

Beginner Editors

These photo editors offer core image editing features with an emphasis on ease of use. They often include helpful wizards to walk users through common tasks, and they should include tutorials or handy on-screen tips for getting started. In addition the user interface will be very basic, straightforward and clean. Many also come pre-loaded with one-click presets or professionally-designed templates to assist novice users in achieving polished results right away. Unfortunately, many of the editors designed for beginners sacrifice features for ease of use, reducing the programs overall flexibility. This may result in frustrated users, after they have progressed beyond the initial learning stages and wish to go further with there software only to find they are limited.

Advanced Editors

These photo editors offer the core image editing features along with additional high-end capabilities for professionals. Professional photographers, graphic designers, desktop publishers, Web developers, digital artists, and small business users all need to work with an image editor at some point. Photo editors for professionals or buisness’ will require stability, flexibility, high end features, and should allow for a streamlined workflow among other features. For business who are short on time, or on qualified employees, automated capabilities can be a huge bonus.
