VINYL VIDEO 002 – Play That Funky Music (Wild Cherry)
VINYL VIDEO #2 from the Professor. This time it’s Wild Cherry’s 1976 smash hit “Play That Funky Music”. And a few extra bits of information that might spark some discussion or debate (or a few well-placed right hooks, but I don’t want to know about those!). I now have (much) better video editing software due to the fact that my Windows Media Player decided to not work for me anymore. I’m still playing with all the bells and whistles, so this is still pretty basic. More to come, so enjoy! And remember to paste the “&fmt=18″ at the end of the URL if you want to hear all the skips and pops in stereo!

Lets Go Play Funky
I love the way that was recorded! Coming from the era of the record player. Scratches and such … put a penny or two taped on the arm. Indeed!!
Let’s play Funky
Yeahhhhhhh!!
merci beaucoup pour cette chanson mon ami
nice, very nice! i can feel this funky shit, love it! 5!
if you disect every word, phrase, tonal quality, every song would offend someone. light up,sit back and the music do it’s job.IMHO
lay down the boogie and play that funky music till you die!
Wait a minute. This was YOUR wedding, where YOU are the bride or groom, and HE’S telling you what you can or can’t have played?!?!
What a *!
not appropiate!!!???? It’s a shame it comes from a DJ. It is a great piece of music, I’m playing it in my wedding reception for sure. Greetings from Peru.
This is one of the best songs anywhere! Says one who was born 19 years after this song was made. And forget what the DJ says. In fact,I’ma have that at my wedding for the father-daughter dance! HA!
vinyl rules!!
how can you tell? It’s been digitised!
You should have slapped the DJ out and played that funky music yourself!
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!
